§ 5. [Same—Power re annual appropriation and taxation.]

The board of county commissioners as the board of directors is hereby authorized and empowered to make an annual appropriation of moneys for the operation of the Brooksville fire tax unit, for the payment of compensation for fire protection within the district and to levy a tax up to three (3) mills upon each dollar of valuation of taxable property in the district for such purposes.
