§ 7-24. Penalties.

  • (a)

    Pursuant to section 125.69, Florida Statutes, any person or persons, firm or corporation, or any agent thereof who violates any provision of this section shall be subject to prosecution in the name of the state in the same manner as misdemeanors are prosecuted; and, upon conviction such person shall be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed sixty (60) days or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each incident or separate occurrence of an act that violates this article shall be deemed a separate offense.

    (b)

    Any person or persons, firm or corporation, or any agent thereof who violates any provision of this section may be prosecuted in the manner provided for in chapter 2, article III, of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.

    (c)

    The remedies and penalties herein are not intended to be cumulative and the county or any law enforcement officer or agency having jurisdiction may institute any appropriate action or proceedings to prevent, restrain, enjoin, correct, abate, penalize or fine any violation of this article.

    (d)

    Any combination of the foregoing.
