§ 28-148. Definitions.

As used in this division, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated in this section:

Geographical boundaries of the county: The following described boundaries, to-wit:

Beginning at a point on the Withlacoochee River where the same is intersected by the section line dividing sections twelve (12) and thirteen (13), township twenty-one (21) south, range twenty (20) east; thence southeasterly along the thread of such river to the juncture therewith of the Little Withlacoochee River; thence southeasterly along the thread of such Little Withlacoochee River to the head of same; thence east to the range line between ranges twenty-two (22) and twenty-three (23) east; thence south on such range line to the line dividing sections twenty-four (24) and thirteen (13), township twenty-three (23) south, range twenty-two (22) east; thence west on such section line and other section lines to the line between ranges twenty (20) and twenty-one (21) east; thence south on such range line to line dividing townships twenty-three (23) and twenty-four (24) south; thence west on such township line to the Gulf of Mexico; thence northerly, including the waters of such gulf within the jurisdiction of the State of Florida, to the township line dividing townships twenty (20) and twenty-one (21) south; thence east, concurrent with the south boundary line of Citrus county, on such township line to where same is intersected by the section line dividing sections four (4) and five (5), township twenty-one (21) south, range nineteen (19) east; thence south on such section line and other section lines to the southwest corner of section nine (9), township twenty-one (21) south, range nineteen (19) east; thence east on the south line of such section nine (9) and other sections to the place of beginning.

Member: A member of the Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority as provided for in that certain inter-local agreement dated the twenty-third day of February, 1977, and heretofore executed by and between Marion County, Hernando County, Levy County, Citrus County, and Sumter County.

Person: An individual or group of individuals, corporations, bureaus, departments, districts, agencies, municipalities, counties, states, nation or any combination of the foregoing.

Surface and ground water: Any and all water above or below ground located within the geographical boundaries of the county.

Transport: To carry, convey, move or remove, divert, channel or relocate.

Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority: That certain regional water supply authority established by that certain inter-local agreement dated the twenty-third day of February, 1977, by and between Citrus County, Hernando County, Levy County, Marion County and Sumter County, in accordance with the provisions of chapters 163 and 373 Florida Statutes, all of such counties being political subdivisions of the state.
