§ 23-42. Intents and purposes.

(a)

This division is intended to implement and be consistent with the county comprehensive plan.

(b)

The purpose of this division is to regulate the use and development of land so as to ensure that new development bears a proportionate share of the cost of capital expenditures necessary to provide fire protection and emergency medical services capital facilities in Hernando County as contemplated by the Hernando County Comprehensive Plan.
