The responsibility of initiating and administering enforcement of this article shall
be vested in the authority having jurisdiction over the respective secondary metals
recycler. Pursuant to section 125.69, Florida Statutes (2010), a secondary metals
recycler or any employee thereof who violates any provision of this article shall
be subject to prosecution in the name of the state in the same manner as misdemeanors
are prosecuted; and, upon conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine not
to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail not
to exceed sixty (60) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day or fraction
thereof the violation continues shall be considered as a separate offense.
