§ 10.5-88. Member appointments.

A board of commissioners of the EZDA shall be appointed consisting of eleven (11) members. The membership shall consist of at least one representative from each of the following:

(1)

The businesses operating within the nominated area.

(2)

Local financial or insurance agencies.

(3)

Local law enforcement.

(4)

Local code enforcement.

(5)

The local private industry council or workforce development board.

(6)

Nonprofit community-based organizations operating within the nominated area.

(7)

Local chamber of commerce.

And at least three (3) representatives shall be:

The residents residing within the nominated area.

All board members shall be citizens of Florida and reside or have their place of primary employment within Hernando County.

The governing body shall designate a chair and vice-chair from among the commissioners.
