The purpose and intent of this ordinance is to promote, protect and improve the public
health, safety, comfort, order, appearance, convenience, morals and general welfare
by establishing land use regulations, policies, procedures and minimum standards to
encourage and provide for the harmonious, orderly and planned development of the area
in accordance with the community's comprehensive plan and existing and future social,
economic and physical needs.
The benefits to be derived from the use and application of this ordinance will be
the attainment of a logical, convenient workable land use pattern that is coordinated
and related to streets and community facilities and services as well as the prevention
of congestion and the undue mixing of incompatible land uses. In addition, the value
of land, buildings and resources will be conserved and the character and stability
of residential, commercial and industrial areas will be protected and enhanced.
